A jar full of pieces of paper that finish the phrase “I love you because…”
Valentine’s Day doesn’t need to be filled with generic cards, sugary GMO filled treats and pesticide laden flowers. This year make something your loved one will cherish for years to come with items you have right at home. It’s easy, fun and completely customizable. Plus, you can use up one of the old glass jars that are just lying around…who doesn’t have some of those?
Who is this present good for?
Make it for your spouse, child, sibling, friend, parent or grandparent. Have your kids help if they are old enough. You can even change it to “We love you because…” or make more than one!
What you’ll need:
- Old clean jar
- Paper
- Tape or glue
- Pen or pencil
- Scissors
Write “I love you because…” on a piece of paper and tape or glue it to the jar. Cut small piece of paper and write the rest of the phrase on them. You can make them any shape or color you want. I made mine red and purple hearts. Fill the jar and your done!
Some ideas: “I love you because…”
- you make me a better person.
- you make me laugh.
- you are such a great ____.(Daddy, Mommy, sister, brother, son, daughter…etc)
- I can be myself with you.
- we have so much fun together.
- you take such good care of me.
- you know all my favorite foods.
