Right now I’m sitting down at the computer drinking hot Dandy Blend out of my stainless steel mug. It’s about 10 degrees outside. The taste is quite satisfying and you would never guess it’s made from dandelion and chicory root. It seems that I wont be tempted to drink coffee ever again. I was never a huge fan of coffee because the caffeine makes me feel sick and jittery, but I did enjoy specialty drinks like iced or frappe decaffeinated coffees from coffee shops. Now I can make my own at home with ingredients that are much healthier. Dandy Blend is full of minerals and antioxidants. This stuff is even safe during pregnancy and is gluten-free.
Ingredients: extracts of roasted barley, rye, chicory root, dandelion root and sugar beet.
I felt compelled to share this awesome product with everyone. You can use it to cut down on coffee, to stop drinking coffee or to add a new drink into your daily routine, like me. My favorite way to make it is by using lots of raw milk but you can easily mix it with water or a milk substitute. The best part is it dissolves completely whether it’s hot or cold. In the summertime I can make an iced Dandy Blend in just a few minutes. I prefer using maple syrup to sweeten it but sometimes I opt for a bit of sugar. Adding vanilla extract adds a nice final touch. You can even add chocolate, cinnamon or peppermint to it. The possibilities are endless!
Have you ever tried Dandy Blend? What is your favorite way to drink it?
